Free Julian Assange 10yrsA-D

I woke up at 3:30 am this morning thinking about Julian Assange in a damp, cold jail cell, in solitary confinement amongst multiple cases of the killer virus Covid 19 and was angry. Why? Dec. 7th, 2020 marks 10 yrs (365 days for 10 years is a long time) since he surrendered to British police in respect to Swedish accusations against him, trusting in British justice but UK Justice has betrayed him, journalists around the world and democracy itself. Sir Kier Starmer, then Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) engineered a legal trick to exclude him from UK justice as far back as January 2012 according to UK government emails. The Assange Policy to exclude him was orchestrated under the David Cameron government.

I dedicate my day to Assange’s fight for freedom and justice and to reminding the world of this enormous travesty. I will pray the Freedom Novena for Julian Assange and invite you to join me. (It’s 15 min., non-denominational and meditative). I will write and revise this blog throughout today to point international attention to this ongoing and grave perversion of British law and politics.

Below are a series of videos and links to explain the FACT that Assange is arbitrarily detained, as determined by the United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary Detention (UNWGAD) , my research findings, press conferences by the UN and Assange himself speaking on the UNWGAD from Ecuador’s balcony in Feb. 2016. The ongoing detention of Julian Assange and British derision of the United Nations stands as a shameful period of human history and should be amplified.

Media must draw attention to the facts of the case and stop using the false talking point that Assange voluntarily detained himself in Ecuador’s embassy. He had no choice after the UK Supreme Court and British parliament conspired to entrap him using a legal trick. During the UN press conference this GaslightingAssange talking point arose at least 5 to 10 times and was repeated in global media. Shameful.
