Have you ever played Monopoly, chess, cards or any board game with a compulsive cheater? After a while it’s not fun and everything gets put away.

Britain is a cheater. It has cheated Julian Assange of his liberty and his health for approaching eight years. It’s a bold thing to say, but in the context of discovered emails between the UK’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) and Sweden’s Prosecution Authority (SPA), the point will become quite obvious.

Here’s Britain’s Cheater’s Playbook:

Let’s arrest Assange for a fake bail breach infraction and keep him in a maximum security jail for a year for that. Let’s tell everyone he’s jailed for bail issue, when really we are the handmaidens of the US and Gina Haspel, chief of CIA. Let’s pretend Judge Emma Arbuthnot is no longer Gina’s avatar in UK courts and let’s get Judge Vanessa Baraister to broadcast our warped ideas about Assange as if they are her own.

Let’s be friends with the US, especially now we are Brexiting and need some sweet trade deals with Trump, who by all accounts is the most difficult negotiator on the planet. Sure we’ll deliver Assange over to he and Gina. We just need to stage a fake US extradition thingy in court first. If Ecuador got $4.2 billion for its betrayal, Britain can surely fetch a little more.

Let’s use this extradition law, which applies to sending someone outside of the European Union. Whoops, there’s a piece of that Law that could collapse the entire case. Let’s pretend the law can be edited outside of parliamentary procedures. Let’s edit it during Assange’s US extradition hearing, but act like we’re not really editing it. If Assange’s lawyers point out that it is in black and white, in the extradition law that we can’t send Assange over to the US based on political grounds, we’ll deny that it’s political. Even if there is evidence that the US President tried to bribe Assange into joining his re-election bid, we’ll ignore it. The UK judge along with the US prosecutor were reinterpreting an existing law to suit the purpose of delivering Assange to US soil.

Let’s make the rules up as we go. If the Assange defence team makes a point that could collapse the case, let the US prosecutor jump in. If that doesn’t work then we’ll say the law doesn’t apply at all and was never ratified or finalized in the UK parliament. Anything to stall, deflect and distract from the main point that Assange is a political prisoner and currently our best political trophy, snug as a bug in a rug at Belmarsh prison.

Craig Murray has written and spoken about this type of GaslightingAssange, although without naming it as such. Put your GaslightingAssange thinking cap on before reading this or watching that.
